SHOW REPORT 2010 EDITION
Sunday 04 of April was held the fifth Great Bear edition.
This year, in add of the teddy bear makers, the even had welcomed a few antique dolls dealers and dolls makers as well. It was a try that worked very well, we all know, dolls and teddy bears collectors have got similars common points.
Even if the show was held during the Easter week end, collectors haven't missed the appointement, they have been into the venue as soon as it has been the opening time!!
During the day, visitors could admire, converse and buy from the exhibitors, artists, dealers and passionnate person. Some of them had made a long trip to visit the show.
The public has been very sensitive to the quality of all the creation on any stall and to the magnificient presentation.
The Great Bear show also is a promotional day for the 1900 and Toys Museum. The entrance is free for children allowing the families a very affordable day. The Great Bear has got an educational role, one of its aims being to introduce people who would have never been to a teddy bear fair to get a step in it. It is also one of the ways to follow to introduce people to the teddy bear making and collection too.
The artists liked to share their passion with other people, they have been available to inform and respond to the different questions. It is also on of the reason why The Great Bear became a renowned event, thanks to the special ambiance and the special atmosphere that any exhibitors give to any visitors including collectors, hobbyist and even curious!!
All the satisfaction that have been reported to me during the day and messages I have received after the show mean The Great Bear has been a success and it is just enough for me to communicate you the date of the next event which will be held on Sunday 3rd of April 2011. |
